How Apple iPad Will Change The Home Based Business
The game changer Apple is about the do it again. There is no doubt that Apple has increased their revenue and their market share in the past decade. Take a look those iPods, since 2001 more than 250,000,000 iPods have been sold, these music playing devices fast became a category of their own. Pretty amazing considering that an iPod is a MP3 player. But today we have iPods and we have MP3 players. See, that is strong positioning, if you can get that position in your market space you’ll be the king of the hill, you can make a TON of money if you can position yourself differently and uniquely in your prospects mind (for the better that is – but that should be obvious).
Apple is about to change the game once again, they are going to bring a new device to the market, but what exactly it’s going to replace depends on the way the customers are using it. The iPad is capable of so many things and it’s amazing technology makes the iPad experience amazing. With the launch of the new iPad in late March, Apple can change the world or it could end up being a huge flop if the iPad is not well received in the marketplace. If users are not seeing any value in changing what they are already doing and figuring out how to make stuff easier, better and/or more enjoyable, Apple might end up hurt. Can Apple really go from success story to success story to…? Is the iPad the next BIG success from Apple?
Personally I think that it’s an awesome tool and that it will become a BIG business building tool, especially in the home based business industry. I’ve in a previous post discussed which home based business is the best and regardless of your business model, I believe the iPad could be of great value to you.
The screen is bigger than the iPhone but smaller than a laptop, it’s light and thin and it easily fits into a backpack or bag, but unlike the iPhone it cannot slide into your pocket.
I think this device will come in handy in multiple industries and a great tool for a lot of people, it will be easy to read the daily newspaper, easy to check the stock market and a delightful way to check once commissions.
The current Apple App Store has 140,000 applications, and that’s only for the iPod touch and the iPhone, however these applications also runs on the iPad. But the possibilities with the iPad is even greater than with the iPhone and developers are probably going to create some really awesome apps to make the iPad an even bigger and better business building tool and you can personalize your iPad for whatever your needs might be.
The iPad is going to be a great business building tool for networkers, regardless of your approach to doing business. With the application; Keynote (similar to Microsofts PowerPoint) you can show beautiful slideshows to your prospects on the go. You can connect the iPad to a big screen if you are doing PBR meetings or hotel meetings other kinds of meetings where you use a slideshow to show prospects what you are talking about.
You can install third party application and use the iPad as a phone, for example; Skype and use the device as a phone (however, the iPhone is recommended for this task. Just google: “skype+iphone” and you’ll find the software)
If you are on Twitter (if not you really should be) you can download the iPhone application TweetDeck for easy management and maintenance of your Twitter profile, tweets and followers. Remember to follow me on Twitter and I will follow back. So, do I see you on Twitter?
Overall I definitely think that the iPad is going to be the next Apple success story, as Apple advertise on the website for the iPad (http://www.apple.com/ipad) : Our most advanced technology in a magical and revolutionary device at an unbelievable price.
