Why Replicated Websites Doesn’t Work
Online lead generation and a replicated website do not go hand in hand. Lead generation confuses many small business owners and marketers, but most people know they need more leads. You should be up to your eyeballs with leads. You should absolutely, for no reason, ever run out of leads. If you can have more leads than you can dial in a lifetime – more power to you. And a quick side note, of course I’m talking about targeted leads. You want leads that have a particular interest in the benefit you offer.
Alternative ways, more traditional ways to get prospects to take a look at your opportunity, is chasing strangers when you’re walking down the street and bugging the folks you run into at the mall and cold-calling “opportunity” leads. These are all outdated techniques and if you’ve been around for a while and maybe even tried some of them, you’ll know they don’t work very well.
We will focus on online lead generation; how to get information-hungry prospects in front of you, instead of you chasing your prospects.
You can get leads primarily in 3 ways.
1. You can buy leads
2. You can create leads
3. You can borrow leads
If you are growing a network marketing business, chances are your network marketing company has a replicated website for the distributors they want you to purchase and pay for every single month. “It’s the best online business building tool you’ll ever get your hands on”. Sound familiar? That is B.S. a replicated website is NOT going to help you in the lead generation part of your business. In fact it will probably not help you at all in the beginning; it will be a waste of money. If you have to pay 30 dollars a months for the replicated website and you make no profits from your business and your presence online with this replicated website, those 30 dollars is a complete waste of your money.
Replicated websites you get from the companies, even with your name and photo on it, is not created with the intent to grow your business…its sole intention is to grow the company’s business and giving them exposure. I know you might be thinking, but if I grow my business, my network marketing company grows their business – and you are correct. The replicated website is good for informational purposes. It’s great when you’ve signed someone up in your downline, now they can go to the replicated website with all the information and learn what your business and products are all about.
“WHAT? After they sign up? People want to know what they get involved with before they sign up!” – is that the inner conversation you’re having inside your head right now? I bet it is! You’ve been trained to work your business that way – again, exposure and free advertising for the corporate company is a great thing for the company, but it’s not going to grow your business.
People don’t need all the answers before they sign up in your downline. All you need to do is overcome their objections and help them make the right decision. Important note here: Not everyone is your prospect and people might not want what you have! I don’t want you to think you have to be pushy and make people do something they are not comfortable with. Assuming you have the right prospect – I can promise you, they will give you the information you need to sign them up in your business, before they ever see the product! You have to lead with the benefit of the product, not the product, hence the reason your prospects don’t necessarily need to see or feel the product before signing up. They are looking for a solution to a particular problem they have, and your products benefits is the solution. Help them understand the power of the product and the great benefit they will experience, show them why this is what they have been looking for. If you find those prospects, your business will have no problem growing – and growing fast.
The replicated website is great for new customers or distributors to get them excited about their purchase, but to get a new customer or a distributor you need to take a step back and look at your lead generation process. If all you have is a replicated website, or worse no website at all, you should not expect to grow your business with positioned leads any time soon. To say it as it is: Replicated websites doesn’t work (for lead generation).
